Deep Clean is the first installment in my new series called Total Home Organization. I am definitely going to jump into the actual organization part but I felt like it would be beneficial to everyone involved if we first talked about my favorite cleaning products and why you need them in your home.
The very first step to a well organized home is being clean. I will always believe that. I should have that hanging somewhere in my house honestly. I don’t know about you, but I have a really hard time functioning in a home that is dirty. It may have something to do with the fact that being a biology major, I know way more than the average person about germs. It is not a blessing people. Believe me when I say ignorance is bliss. You most likely woke up this morning thinking — “oh wow I really hope that Blonde and Ambitious Blog does a post on organizing my jewelry because I am a hot mess and could really use some help”. Understandable. But because I like to grant wishes: I did, in fact, write a post about organizing your jewelry because I, like you, am often a hot mess. Probably more so.
So without further ado:
Jewelry can often times be a serious pain to organize. Necklaces have this really cute tendency to tangle themselves up in drawers or in boxes. This also doubles as a really great getting ready in the morning playlist, FYI. Continue reading

I have a tendency to over-book myself if I do not immediately write down events and assignments. And this is where my lifesaving, handy dandy notebook comes in. But seriously. i. love. planners. they regularly allow me to keep my sanity and they are the only thing that keeps me from ripping out my hair on the daily.
I keep my homework assignments, daily to-do lists and special events in there. It is color coded, because I am a visual human being, and without it I would be lost. If you haven’t considered using one, you are living life wrong (okay, you’re not wrong but you are missing out I swear). And in my personal opinion, cellphone/ipad/computer planners just don’t cut it. I like the feeling of paper planners and I like personalizing it to fit the way my mind and schedule work. Buying a new planner is absolutely one of my favorite parts of the year. Continue reading
This post is inspired by the fact that I almost broke my left pinky toe going to grab a shirt out of my closet today. I stepped in front of my cramped little wardrobe and ended up waist deep in shoes and swim suits and a million other things I’ve been collecting for the last seven years. Don’t pretend like you don’t know what I’m talking about. Continue reading
